Jindo Glitter: I Don't Shed. I Distribute.
Let's get one thing straight: I do not shed. Shedding is what lesser dogs do — messy, accidental, apologetic. I distribute glitter. It is deliberate. It is generous. And in October, it is absolutely everywhere.
Twice a year my double coat does its big clear-out, and fall is one of them. The undercoat that kept me warm lets go all at once, and every couch cushion, car seat, and black pair of pants in this house gets a limited-edition sparkle finish. My human calls it "fur season." I call it merchandising. Which is how the Jindo Glitter tee was born — he looked at his sweater, looked at me, and I looked back like: you're welcome.
A clean dog with a glitter problem
Here's the funny part. Fun fact: Jindos are famously cat-like about cleanliness — we groom ourselves, we keep our coats tidy, and we have basically no dog smell. I am, by breed, one of the cleanest dogs on Earth. I just also leave a fine dusting of white hairs on everything I have ever loved, which is everything I have ever sat on.
Fun fact number two: that double coat isn't decoration. Back on Jindo Island in Korea, it handled cold winters and hot summers, which is why my breed was named a Natural Monument of Korea. I am a protected national treasure who treats your favourite hoodie like a canvas. Both things can be true.
So no, I won't be apologizing for the glitter. Wear it like I mean it — or better, wear the shirt that says it for you.
The Jindo Glitter tee is in the Jindo Collection now. Browse it at jindoandfriends.com and use AMIE10 for 10% off. Glitter removal, sadly, not included.
